Return / Refund / Price Match Policy

At Happy Jewelers we are committed to your satisfaction. We stand behind our jewelry with a lifetime warranty and sizing on all jewelry pieces.

Only in-stock items may be returned for refund within 10 days of the first delivery attempt. The product must be returned in the same condition and working order, including packaging, as originally received. Refunds for returned items will be credited in the same form as the original payment type and may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 10% of the purchase price.

Refunds for items returned 10 days after the purchase date will be in the form of a credit redeemable on your next purchase. The original shipping, handling and restocking fees are not refundable. If you have an exchange for the same dollar amount as the original purchase, no additional shipping or handling charges will be incurred.

Price Match Policy: Happy Jewelers will refund the difference in the form of a credit redeemable on future orders if the price drops on an item you purchased within the last 7 days. The price match request must be made while the sale is active. If a discount was received when the original order was placed, no additional discount will apply. If you'd like to request a price match please reach out to us with your order number and name via email: info@happyjewelers.com or use our text feature to connect with us.

Please mail your package in a prepaid, insured, traceable method to the following address: Happy Jewelers 1565 S. Harbor Blvd. | Fullerton, CA 92832. Be sure to include a note with your name and details regarding the intended return.

NOTE: We do not offer refunds for products showing any signs of wear or damage. In addition, we do not allow returns or exchanges on any altered items.

All purchases on custom jewelry are final- this includes name necklaces engraved items, and custom pieces.

We do not offer any refunds on engagement rings. Engagement rings may be returned for an upgrade that is a minimum of double the original purchase price.

Happy Jewelers reserves the right to update the above Return/Refund/Price Match Policy at any time without notice.

 

Shipping Policy

You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and safely delivered. We ship products anywhere in the United States using a secured/insured shipping method. When you place an order, we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment's destination. Our shipping charges are determined by the total dollar amount of your order, excluding applicable sales tax. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Orders $100+ will be shipped via UPS delivery with a signature required. The carrier will attempt delivery multiple times prior to leaving a note regarding pickup instructions at the nearest available pickup location.

If you prefer your package to be delivered without a signature, please request this in the notes section at checkout. By requesting this option, Happy Jewelers is not responsible for the replacement or repair of any items once the package is received by the carrier.

The fee is $50 if your package is returned to us or intercepted prior to delivery and you would like it redelivered.

HAPPY JEWELERS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING TARIFF/DUTY AND/OR CUSTOMS FEES IMPOSED BY ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL PURCHASE.

All Happy Jewelers products are manufactured in in the United States and if shipped internationally, may be subject to a tariff, duty and/or customs fee by your country. These fees vary by country so we recommend you check with your local authorities regarding additional fees.

Please note: A tariff or duty (the words are used interchangeably) is a tax levied by governments on the value including freight and insurance of imported products. Different tariffs applied on different products by different countries. National sales and local taxes, and in some instances, customs fees, are often charged in addition to the tariff. The tariff, along with the other assessments, is collected at the time of customs clearance in the foreign port.

Diamond Upgrade Program

Happy Jewelers offers a “Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program” on all GIA, HRD, AGS, EGL and IGI certified natural or lab created diamonds purchased from Happy Jewelers.

Diamonds:

 

• Only GIA, HRD, AGS, EGL, and IGI certified diamonds purchased from Happy Jewelers
•You will receive credit equal to 100% of the original price toward the purchase of a new diamond
• The price of your new diamond must be at least 2x greater than the price of your original diamond
• Any damage to the original diamond may disqualify the diamond from our upgrade program
 

Settings:

• If your setting fits your new diamond and is in reusable condition, we will set your new diamond in your original setting at no additional cost to you
• If your original setting cannot be reused, you have the option of keeping the setting or accepting a fair market value credit as determined by Happy Jewelers

Diamond Grading Reports:

• The original diamond grading report must be returned in reusable condition. Fees may apply for any damaged or missing reports

Appraisals and Certificates

As independent certified gemologists, with accreditation through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Happy Jewelers offers the necessary skill and expertise to render valuation reports for your jewelry items. We have been educated in both gemology and the methodologies of jewelry and diamond appraisals. Same day appraisals for items purchased from a third party are given an approximation of value if no certificate is available.

Our appraisals are based on fair market value to replace your jewelry item. We also work very closely with accredited gemological laboratories (GIA, EGL, IGI), that are equipped with gemological testing equipment necessary to provide accurate identifications.

Certifications of diamonds are used to scientifically determine information on a diamonds shape; clarity, color, cut, carat weight, proportions and finish. Understanding the grading system of a diamond is important to its valuation.

Diamonds are certified based on what has commonly been referred to as the 4-C’s; Color, Cut, Clarity & Carat:

Color; a standard that refers to a diamond’s lack of color, grading the whiteness of the diamond. A color grade of D is the highest possible, while Z is the lowest.

Cut; the cut of a diamond is it’s most important characteristic, having the greatest overall influence on a diamond’s beauty. Generally speaking, it’s sparkle.

Clarity; is a measure of the number and size of any tiny imperfections that occur in almost all diamonds. Many imperfections are microscopic, while others are visible to the naked eye and will affect a diamond’s beauty.

Carat; specifically is a measure of a diamond’s weight, but by itself does not accurately reflect a diamond’s size. To best understand a diamond’s size we look at distance in millimeters across the top of the diamond and the diamonds cut grade. Simply put, it is a way to measure the weight of the diamond.

Conflict Free Diamond Policy

Happy Jewelers, along with the global diamond industry, has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, diamond exports, to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds. In April 2003, congress and President Bush passed a law adopting the Kimberley Process that requires all US diamond retailers to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels. Today, the US Customs Service actively enforces the Kimberley Process requirements as diamonds enter American ports.

We only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. All diamonds purchased from Happy Jewelers are warranted to be conflict free. If one of our suppliers was ever found to be in violation of that process, we would immediately sever that relationship. We will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade.

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, phone number and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email and Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails or texts about our store, new products and other updates.

How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY


Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES


In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Do Not Track

California law requires us to let you know whether we respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. DNT is a way for users to inform websites that they do not want their webpage visits tracked.
