August brought a wave of excitement for watch enthusiasts, as top brands rolled out some of their most creative and technically impressive timepieces yet. From tributes to anime and luxury sports cars to meteorite dials and NFL collaborations, this month’s releases pushed the boundaries of horological design and craftsmanship. Whether you’re into vintage revival, high-performance chronographs, or watches that look like they belong on a supercar dashboard, there was something for every collector.
Here’s a roundup of the standout watch drops from August 2025.
Massena LAB x Vianney Halter Old Soul
Massena LAB teamed up with legendary independent watchmaker Vianney Halter to create the Old Soul, a timepiece that blends vintage flair with sci-fi aesthetics. With its steampunk-inspired 3D dial, old-school railroad tracks, and the signatures of both creators etched on the sapphire crystal, this watch is a true collector’s piece. Inside, it houses a rare Minerva caliber 17’22 movement, visible through the caseback. Limited to 47 pieces, the Old Soul is priced at $46,000.
Parmigiani Toric Petite Secondes – New Variants
Parmigiani expanded its Toric Petite Secondes line with two elegant new models that embrace the "quiet luxury" trend. One features a platinum case with a salmon-toned "Golden Hour" dial and Akoya Grey leather strap, while the other pairs rose gold with a “Dune” taupe dial and matching strap. Refined yet bold, these 40.6 mm dress watches are powered by the in-house Calibre PF780. The platinum model is priced at $67,200 and the rose gold version comes in at $58,500.
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin
Vacheron Constantin dropped two new versions of its beloved Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in August. One comes in rose gold with a matching dial; the other in white gold with a rich burgundy lacquer dial. Both models come with a solid gold bracelet and two additional rubber straps. Each is priced at $120,000 and available exclusively at Vacheron Constantin boutiques.
Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette
If you thought the original Bugatti Tourbillon was wild, Jacob & Co. just took it up a notch. The Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette is a dazzling fusion of watchmaking and automotive design, featuring 17 carats of baguette-cut diamonds and 18 ruby "taillights". Its white gold case houses a miniature sapphire V-16 engine that actually moves. Only 18 pieces will be produced. Price available upon request.
Zenith Chronomaster Sport Meteorite
Zenith introduced a cosmic twist to its popular Chronomaster Sport by adding a meteorite dial—yes, real space rock. Originally released exclusively in Japan, this 41 mm stainless steel timepiece is now available globally. It features three subdials, a black ceramic bezel, and an angled date display. Retail price: $21,000.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph
Released during Monterey Car Week, this motorsport-inspired piece is a mechanical marvel. The Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph boasts a 45 mm skeletonized pink-gold case and an open-worked dial. Inside, you'll find multiple patented features, including a 120-degree rotating minute counter and a rotor modeled after a car rim. Limited to 88 pieces, each priced at $135,000.
H. Moser & Cie. x Azuki Pioneer Tourbillons
Moser took a creative leap by partnering with the anime brand Azuki. The result? Eight watches inspired by Azuki’s Elementals universe—four Pioneer Tourbillons at $75,000 each and four Pioneer Centre Seconds models at $25,000 apiece. Each elemental theme (Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning) is expressed through detailed guilloché dials. Only 24 pieces per model were made, available via the 1916 Company.
Panerai Submersible Marina Militare & Carbotech
Panerai saluted its roots with the Italian Navy by releasing two rugged dive watches inspired by naval aviation. The Submersible Marina Militare (PAM01697) is built in brushed steel, while the Submersible Marina Carbotech (PAM01698) uses Panerai’s proprietary Carbotech material. Both feature matte green gradient dials, radar-style seconds counters, and come equipped with green canvas and black rubber straps. PAM01697 is priced at $12,500, and PAM01698 at $19,500.
Jacob & Co. Epic X Chrono Tri-Compax Brown
Jacob & Co. gave its high-performance Epic X Chrono a warm makeover with the Tri-Compax Brown. Featuring a 44 mm brown ceramic case, rose-gold accents, and a high-functioning chronograph movement (JCAA12), this model proves brown is anything but boring. Price not listed, but it falls comfortably into five-figure territory.
Breitling NFL Team Watches
In a first-of-its-kind move, Breitling became the official luxury watch partner of the NFL, launching two collections tailored to fans of all 32 teams. The Chronomat Automatic GMT line is priced at $6,000, while the Endurance Pro lineup costs $4,400. Each model features team colors and logos, making them the ultimate accessory for football fanatics with style.
