For the first time in over a decade, Rolex has introduced a brand-new sports model, and it’s already making waves. Meet the Land-Dweller, a watch that blends cutting-edge engineering with unmistakable Rolex DNA.

At the heart of this release is the brand’s latest high-frequency movement, promising even sharper accuracy. What really sets it apart, though, is the debut of the “Dynapulse” escapement, an in-house innovation backed by seven patents. According to Rolex, this mechanism improves energy efficiency by a striking 30% over the traditional Swiss lever escapement.

Visually, the Land-Dweller has a presence all its own. It features a sleek, ultra-slim Jubilee bracelet paired with a sharply sculpted case that calls back to the retro-futuristic charm of the classic Oysterquartz models. That throwback styling has even sparked rumors about Rolex’s possible return to quartz, though so far, that remains just speculation.

Design-wise, it draws inspiration from two rare Rolex pieces: the two-tone mechanical Datejust Ref. 1630 from 1974 and the quartz-powered Ref. 5100 from 1969. Both of these earlier models hinted at the brand’s willingness to experiment during their respective eras.

The Land-Dweller is available in a trio of luxurious materials: platinum, rose gold, and Rolex’s proprietary white Rolesor alloy. It comes in two case sizes, 36mm and 40mm. Pricing ranges from CHF 13,300 to CHF 111,500.

More from Rolex’s 2025 Collection: A Mix of Heritage, Daring Colors, and Unique Materials

Rolex isn’t stopping with just one major debut. The legendary GMT-Master returns this year with a striking new twist. It now features the brand’s first Cerachrom dial, crafted from vibrant green ceramic. It’s also a “Destro” model with the crown shifted to the left side, and it is offered for the first time in 18ct white gold.

Elsewhere in the catalogue, the Oyster Perpetual line has gotten a splash of color. It is now available with glossy lacquer dials in soft pastel shades such as lavender, pistachio, and beige. This playful and modern update adds a fresh personality to one of Rolex’s most accessible collections.

The refined Rolex 1908 dress watch also receives an upgrade. It now comes with a bespoke seven-link gold bracelet called the Settimo, crafted exclusively for this model from solid 18ct yellow gold.

Adding more flair to the mix, the Cosmograph Daytona now features a vivid turquoise lacquer dial. This is a significant departure from the typically monochrome Daytona palette.

Then there’s the GMT-Master II, which is now being offered with a dial made from tiger iron, a rare, layered gemstone composed of tiger’s eye, hematite, and red jasper. The swirling mix of earthy tones and metallic streaks ensures that no two watches are exactly alike.

Lastly, the Sky-Dweller gets a splash of Rolex’s signature color with a new bright green sunray-finish dial. It’s a bold statement and a reminder that Rolex is no longer playing it safe when it comes to color. With past hits like the Submariner "Hulk" and the Day-Date in Olive Green, this vibrant Sky-Dweller feels like a natural next step in the brand’s evolving design language.

From groundbreaking mechanics to audacious dials, Rolex’s latest offerings reflect a new era of confidence where tradition and experimentation exist side by side.
